He tells her that she can ask her brother to cut her hair for her if she needs it, but she is not allowed to do so. She asks him if he has been at the kingdom for a long time and he replies that it has been a while since he had been there. He then tells her about an invitation letter that he has received from the king. The letter says that the king wants to marry his daughter.
