In this chapter, the monster tells the reader that he has returned to the land of the dead. He tells the story of how he and his companions were chased by the golden turtles, and how they were forced to live in a foreign country while they were being pursued by the murderers. He has begun to remember his past, but he is worried that the heavenly troops are gathering in a short notice. He prays for the tang, the buddha, and the monk.
