About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that the monster Phil is always picking on the peasant, who is always sleeping. Phil says that he doesn't want the ugly thing, so the peasant can have it. Phil then commands the peasant to release him and wipe the smile off his face. He says that since the monsters have trapped the peasant in the dungeon with him, he's going to give him the law of his kingdom for you. He also says that the peasant is obviously a sin, so he'll allow him to be his servant. The peasant complains that the food is awful, but the monster says that it's just because the handras don't usually attack at night. The monster then reminds the peasant that he has to take the princess to show the other monsters. He tells the peasant not to worry about fighting back, because the monsters wouldn't attack him if he fought back. He then says that they can fight together against the monsters, and the peasant thanks him for coming to his aid, but he can't let the monsters control him. The two of them can fight against the monster, and he says, "stop now and we can all fight against them together. Can nothing get through the monster's thick shell or the peasant's" .
