The scene opens with a glow in the distance. It's the same glow that we saw in the previous scene. It means that the trial is over, and that Maria is now free to go back to her old life as a princess. Maria is thrilled to be back, and she tells everyone that she'll miss them all very much. She tells them that she can find a kind boyfriend, not necessarily a handsome one. She also tells them to whisper to each other that they're ready to go. She's glad to be home, and says that even though Maria always caused trouble, now she's gone home. She says that it's sad that Maria has left, but she also says that she hopes that Maria will be able to get a second chance at life.
