It's been a while since we've heard from the narrator, but he's finally done worrying about what's going to happen next. He's at the bakery to buy a chocolate cake, and he can't believe that the shop is actually a stalker's haunt. What's more, he thinks, the shop's owner is a stalker, too, because she's not buying the chocolate cake that's on display. He goes home, and the narrator tells him to go back to the shop and check out the situation first-hand.
