It's the wedding of nishiki and her fiance, Atsumori, and the two of them are on their way to the reception. As they're about to leave, the narrator asks the groom if he'd like to see him as "a man" . The groom says he would, but he's not sure if it's appropriate for a boy to be a boy friend to a man who's a god. The narrator says he'll walk the groom to the wedding reception, and then he and the groom can have a private chat. He asks the bride-to-be if she'd be willing to marry him as a man, and she says yes. She's so happy for him that she's even more beautiful on the day of the wedding than she was at the beginning of the conversation. The two men talk about how happy they are to be married, and how they'll be able to create a "normal family" together.
