This chapter opens with a description of the cold, dark, and gloomy place where the bodies of the dead are kept. A young boy is standing at the gate of the graveyard when a bard appears and tells him that a "teller of tales" has just arrived. The bard asks the boy to bring the body of the man, but the boy refuses, saying that he has no time for tales.
