The narrator tells us that the main character in this story knows of revenge. He is not one who wants his deeds to be cross-talked with another. He does not want to be a part of a plot against him. The narrator then goes on to explain that the thief has changed a lot since he first came to the valley. He used to be the best thief in the world, but now he is known only by a few. He and his new wife have a baby, and they live happily in the valley with their new family.
