This is a locked chapterCHAPTER 2 CHARGE! PALACE-ING • BATHING • FLYING?!
About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that the magic of the palace is drawing to a close, and the party celebrating its end is gathering in the courtyard. The party's leader, a young man named lucy, tells us that his father is one of the royal bodyguards. Two nights ago, the prince's bodyguard was attacked by an unknown assailant, and he was badly wounded, so he went back to the palace to find out what had happened. The young man wonders if there are "traitors" inside the palace, and wonders if the palace's guards would be willing to help the prince if he needed them. He thinks that the fairy tail is a good thing, because it "turns a sigh that not deaf ears" to what the prince needs help from. He also thinks that there are wards in the palace that prevent the wizard from being able to do his magic. He wonders why there are no guards posted outside the palace gates. He asks why there is no one there to protect the airship, which has been left in tatters by the attackers. He believes that he is the only one who knows about the attack.
