In this chapter, the monster is envious of his new home and wishes he could live there. He tells the monster that he has never seen anyone else in the castle since he arrived. The monster begs the beast to let him go back to his father's house, but the beast screams at him. He asks when his mother is coming back, and the monster learns that she is not coming back today. He is hungry, and his mother told him to eat his meal. He says that he is hungry because he has more than he can eat at his old home. He explains that he was sold to the monster because he loves his mother.
