In this short scene, Gulliver tells his father that he wishes to protect the Duke of Albany's men from danger. He tells the Duke that he will meet up with his older brother, liv, who has not seen him for ten years. Gulliver tells liv that he knows that they are close, and that they have known each other for a long time, but that liv is too foolish to know the world apart. He says that they should be careful around each other now, as they are nearing the age of maturity. Worried that they will not be able to meet again, Gulliver asks liv why he looks so glum, and liv says that he had a fight with his brother because he snuck out of the house the night before. He complains that the people in the town do not talk to him as if he is a beast, and he wants to disappear to a place without people. He is afraid that the town people will think that he is some plagued beast, but he says he is still taller than them, and they do not even know that he even looks older than them. A man rescues Gulliver from the forest, and Gulliver says that the man is like a "prince from fairy tales"
