About This Chapter
Now that they're both living in the same area, they can run into each other everywhere, but jin says that he's sure that the man's promises were too much for her. jin also asks if she lied to her sister about her suicide attempt, and if it's going to be resolved in one year. She tells jin that she's at her wits' end whenever jin is with his father, and that he shouldn't tell anyone anything that he doesn't mean. He's sorry that he didn't bring himself to contact her, and he tells her that there are places in the city that are still open. He also tells her to lock the store and make sure that her father goes to the hospital when they get there, because jin thinks he lived his life foolishly. He says that jin's parents were terrible husbands, but they were good fathers to jin, and jin blames them for hurting him so young. She says that the adults must have suffered so much just to protect her, because they must have had to endure all of the sufferings to protect jin. She asks jin why he is leaving the hospital, and she tells him that she heard that the hospital has hired new doctors. She also says that one of the new doctors is older than jin and that there's no reason for jin to give up his pride and stay at a place that's so business minded.
