The narrator is on his way to the market when he runs into Yonhap. He asks Yonhap if he still wants to talk to him. Yonhap tells him that he does not want to see him, but Yonhap stops him. He tells the narrator that he is upset because Yonhap is treating him well. He says that Yonhap does not hate him, and Yonhap says that they are not like each other in the slightest. The narrator tells Yonhap that it is jealousy that is causing Yonhap to be so upset. He explains that he was annoyed because he is jealous of Yonhap because he keeps on caring for Yonhap, even though he is not jealous of him. It is normal for a person to be jealous when they like someone, he says. He also says that even though Yonhap hates him, he still likes him because he loves Yonhap as a friend, not as a lover. He adds that he sometimes gets jealous of a doll he holds to sleep, and he says that he will do his best to hold himself back, even if he gets jealous
