In this chapter, Doyoon is introduced to the reader for the first time. He is a young man who has just signed a contract to become a doctor. He tells the reader that he is happy with the outcome of the contract, and that the child who inquired about his name at the end of the agreement was a "strange child" who asked him what his name was. The young man asks the young man's name, and the man replies that he does not need it. He then tells the story of how he fell in love with another man, and how the man ended up abandoning him. He explains that humans have weak bodies and minds, and they change easily. He says that he has no other way to live than to fall in love. He adds that it is not like he is completely unafraid, but he has "no other way" because he has fallen in love, and this is why he changed. He wonders who the man was in his dream, and he wonders if it was the man who helped him find courage once again. The man explains that he was sick since he was a child and that eventually he became afraid of death, but eventually he met the man and thought he wanted to live again. He signed the contract and became healthy through it, but the man is still the same, because he flinched because he forgot about the man. He asks if the man wants to kiss him, and she says that she would provide for him if he turned into a human. She explains that she is not saying that she wants to be his first love, but that she does not understand what is happening. She says that if he becomes a human, she will take care of him so that he can do whatever he wants and play.
