In this chapter, we learn that Shmoop and Mina are back together, and that Mina has made a new costume for him, but that he is not wearing it until two days before his big day at the convention. Mina says that her childhood was spent chasing after her father in the bathroom, so now they are getting along, and she wonders if it will kill them both. She says that she wants to be a doctor, a journalist, and a traveling journalist. She also says that a big manga company has offered her a job, and they will go to see a new show that she has been invited to see.
