This chapter opens with a soliloquy by Qingxuan. He tells his friend that he is a man and that he will marry him if he is still alive. He says that if he were still alive, he would like to see his family marry him. He wants to pave the way for him and his family to live happily ever after. He is persistent and stubborn, he says, and he will not compromise. He will wait until he is dead.
