This chapter's epigraph comes from a conversation between Nemo and Nemo's servant. Nemo tells the servant that he has another magical treasure, and that he should protect it from harm. The servant replies that Nemo is one of the few people who has been kind to Nemo, and he should use his magic to protect him. Nemo asks the servant to take the treasure to him, but the servant refuses, saying that it would be inappropriate for him to do so. Nemo then asks the man to wipe the dirt off his clothes, and the servant says that he did it on purpose, but did not dry his clothes. He then asks Nemo if he wants to marry her, and she says that she would like to marry him if he did. Nemo
