In this short scene, we learn that the Governess has been running away from her lover, and that she has been fidgeting and rubbing her nipples in order to get away. The Governess tells her lover that she is worried about his "smell" and that he should take a bath since he has sweated so hard during the exhibition. She tells him that if he takes a bath, he will have no complaints about the smell. She then tells him to book her a room, and he agrees to do so. When she asks him why he is running away, he tells her that he has been "running away" because he has not taken a bath in two days. He then asks her why she is fidgeting, and she says that she was "working up a sweat" during the "prepara tions" for the exhibition, and so she is afraid of the smell of the bath. He tells her to "book me a room" and she agrees. When he asks her if she likes it when he teases her, she replies that she does not like it when she teases him, because if he "sucks on them hard" , she is sure that he is going to suck her
