The scene opens with a description of the "devil in the suit" , who is trying to hurry through the streets of Paris. He has to hurry because someone will see him, and he can't wait to get out of the way. He tells himself that he's too hot to stand still, and that his body is too honest to hold back. Finally, he tells himself, he'll come to the rescue.
