The next morning, Hirokazu wakes up in the middle of the night to find that his bath has been repaired. He's relieved to find a private bath, but he's even more relieved when he realizes that it's open to the public. Hiding in the next room, he hears a bug crawl through the dressing room, and he trembles to see what's going on. He realizes that he and Kagoshima are trapped in a room with no access to the main bath, and that they can't get in. They have to wait outside in the rain for the men to come back, and they're worried that they won't be able to see them. They're afraid that if they don't come in, they'll be caught and punished. Everyone has a drink, and everyone rushes out to get out of the room.
