The narrator tells us that there are branches of the Hido family that are allied with the yakuza, and that there have been many conflicts between them. The narrator says that he has not been able to find any men who have run off with money, but he has heard rumors that some of them have run away with money after betraying the family and running away with it. He says that it looks like the narrator has found a boyfriend, but the narrator doesn't know what to make of this news. He tells the narrator that the boyfriend has been meeting with the matrons of a club, and he has been leaving at night. He asks the narrator if he's going to learn more about the son he loves, and the narrator tells him that he just wants to find out more about him. He gives the narrator one more picture of the son, and she blushes and says that she just wanted to know more about his relationship with the son she loves
