The next day, Ming decides to dress up as a "mage" and invite Ming to a dinner party. Ming wants Ming to pretend to be in love with him, so that Ming will be jealous of Ming's feelings for Ming. Ming tells Ming that he will dress up like a mage, and Ming agrees to do so. Ming goes back to the ice-mages' guild, where he finds Snitch. Snitch tells him that the instant second-level ice shield technique is useless in dealing with sudden attacks from martial arts masters. He also warns Ming that the holy ice-tower is the only place where mages can unlock the "most profound ice magic" . Ming asks Snitch why he came to the guild, and Snitch replies that he does not want to be part of the Holy Ice-Tower, because it gives him a "very domineering feeling" and he wants to "cultivate in peace." Ming says that he has joined the guild so that he can get a position in the Holy-Ice-Tower.
