In this chapter, we learn that the protagonist is a newcomer to the world of magic. He has joined the guild, but he is not allowed to associate with other members of the guild because of the "magic barrier" . The protagonist tells us that he is a childhood sweetheart of Ling'er, and he does not want anyone else to get close to her. He also says that he has a reputation among the guild members, and that if he needs anything, he will tell him. He tells the protagonist that his position in the guild is "a bit special" and that he once entered the "fourth floor" with Ling and Master. He asks the protagonist if he has any idea how to get into the fourth floor, and the protagonist tells him that he did. He says that if there is an opportunity in the future, he'll take the protagonist there. He adds that he will make sure the protagonist gets a share of the profits from the sale of the shares in the upcoming auction. He wants to know if the protagonist has bribed the protagonist to do so, and when the protagonist says no, he says that she is just a servant and that she does not know what to do with him
