The rest of the work day passes by, and Lingying wonders if he is going home. She invites him to come for a ride, and he agrees. He tells her that he is returning to his friend's house because he does not have a home. He says that he used to think about the dorm as his home, but now he realizes that he will never know what it is like to be a qilin. He invites Lingying to dinner, and she agrees.
