About This Chapter
Now that we've got a little bit of a history lesson on the soaring cloud technique, let's get down to the business of cultivating. First off, we're told that the technique is called "cloud cultivation" because it's supposed to focus on cultivating one's own potential. In other words, cultivating your own potential is the only way to transform it into strength. We're also told that cultivating is the most important thing you can do to cultivate yourself. So basically, cultivating yourself is like cultivating a rooster. The rooster is the embodiment of heavenly fortune, and the rooster has a strong suit, and neither does he have any weaknesses. This is why the rooster is so powerful. Also, the rooster can use a mantra to tame tame other beasts, which is why he's able to do so. The only thing that fuels the rooster's abilities is "cloud power," which is basically the ability to use your own abilities to fuel your own. The next thing we learn is that mingming is supposed to memorize a bunch of acupoints, which are basically meridians. Now that's a lot of memorization . Next, we learn that the sheets and blankets are hers, which means that she's the owner of them. Okay, so maybe this isn't the best thing to do for cultivating yourself, but we'll take it for what it is.
