Back at the office, Dr. Reiji tells his assistant that he's going to be heading back to the office soon. He's excited to see how hard the young doctor has worked today. When he sees that the older brother, Tachibana, has come to dinner with him and his assistant, he wonders why he has to go out to eat. He says that he doesn't want to go to a restaurant that's "western" and "Japanese" , but he does want to eat at a different restaurant where he'll be able to keep his brother's health in mind. The younger brother is a good doctor, he says, and he'd rather take care of people at home than at a restaurant where they'll have to eat alone. When the doctor leaves, he notices that the younger brother seems to be trying to get close to him. The older brother is clearly trying to talk to him, and the younger doctor thinks that this is a sign that he wants to perform some kind of surgery on his brother. The doctor says that the brother has a "weird habit" of writing his "name really big on everything" . He thinks that the surgery will be to remove some of the "weird" parts of his name. He wonders if the brother might be playing with him, too, and wonders if he and his older brother are getting along well because they're both "surprised sides" to each other.
