In this short scene, Ren tells his friend Lin Ling that he is leaving for Paris and that he will not return for a long time. He tells her that he has to leave because she has become a prostitute and that she will probably end up like "ou fei" . Ren tells her not to tell her fiance's phone number, but to say hello to her grandma. Ren says that he hopes the war between the two countries can be ended quickly. Ren asks her to let her know that she bears all of the pain of the war alone. Ren wonders how great it is that they are both so selfless and watchful. She tells Ren that she has changed Ren's cell phone so that when Ren arrives in Paris, he will be able to find a suitable man to marry
