In this chapter, the young woman tells Mr. Manjun that she has found a few comic books, but that she cannot find them anywhere. She tells him that she still has some at home, and that her mother would be furious if she were to stop working on them. She asks him to go to her place and taste her cooking, but he refuses, saying that she is like a "hedgehog" who throws tantrums at him. He tells her that he likes her because she is humble and thin, but she cannot fool herself that he truly likes her. She says that if she stayed away from him, she would surely be "in agony again" . She wants to know why he did such a thing to her, and he says that he did it for her own good. He asks her why she kept the photo of him, and she says that she does not blame herself for not having met him earlier, because she would not have met him if she had not gone through all of this. She wonders if he wants her to come to his place just because he is lonely, or if they are just talking about "relieving our worries."
