The scene opens with the young chairman of the board of directors, Lee Nay-Chee, talking to his wife, who is engaged in an affair with another man. The two of them discuss the construction of a new gambling den, but the project has been put on hold because of lack of funds. The young chairman asks his wife why she is having an affair, and she replies that she is jealous of the other man's affair with the woman of his dreams. Lee asks the young man if he has had an affair himself, and he replies that he has, too, and that he is now jealous of his wife's infidelity
