The director and the young woman are having a drink on the roof of the building. The young woman tells the director that she has heard rumors that Mr. Kang is in debt and that he might be able to find a solution to the problem, but that they are in a difficult situation now because of the financial difficulties. She kneels before the director and begs him to stop looking at her. She tells him that she is being harassed because of her father's gambling debts and that an uninvited spectator has ruined her mood. She asks the director if he is sure that she still does not know the situation. The director gasps and says that he has no idea what she is talking about.
