In this chapter, we learn that the master of the house has disappeared, and that he has been eaten up by the ghost of his brother. The ghost, however, is not afraid of the master, and the two begin to fight. The smell of leopard cat urine, which is believed to induce hallucinations in humans, is heard in the room. The sound of underground voices is also heard, and it is believed that the ghost is in danger.
