When the old man tells him that his grandfather is dead, the young man is shocked and confused. The old man asks where he came from and how he got there. He also asks where his grandfather's body is. The young man realizes that he has been frozen for a very long time. He is horrified at the idea that a living being could be in the ice. He realizes that his appearance, his elegance, and his body are all in danger. He wonders why he has to send his grandfather away right after he sees him. He then realizes that the curse of his father's bloodline has broken out. He asks if he is well and if he has changed in the two days since his father died. He tells the story of how his father told him repeatedly that he had to let him out of the ice because he was a "man of rules" and that the green snake had protected him from the elements before his grandfather died. When he finally gets to the point, he realizes that this old man is a game console and that he will learn to play it.
