The chapter opens with a discussion of sex between a teacher and a student. The teacher asks the student if she would like to practice sex with him. The student replies that she would, but that she doesn't know how to answer such a question. She then asks the teacher if there are any students who want to ask her anything that isn't related to the subject of the lesson. She tells the student that if he or she were to think about the question, they would divide a cake into two parts: one for the students who are dissatisfied and one for those who are happy. She says that this is a good way to test one's understanding of the concept of "under standing." The teacher says that students should be able to change their point of view if they want to expand their enjoyment of life. He says that when students change from studying math to novels, movies, anime, and manga, their enjoyment will increase. He then says that if they are not able to do this, then they will be unable to enjoy life. The girl asks if she is free to have sex with the teacher, and the teacher replies that he is. He tells her that she can have sex anytime she wants, but she should be careful not to get too close to the man she wants to get married to. He reminds her that he lent her his coat the day they got together to create the lesson plan. The man she'll marry, he says, will be pro-active both inside and out of the home.
