In this short scene, Huck continues his fight against self-doubt. He tells the reader that he will exercise self-control starting the next day and that he won't have sex for the first time in his life. Huck tells us that he wants to win a boxing match in the next month and that his opponent will be from the United States. Huck says that he'll slap the opponent's right upper if he slaps him too hard. He also tells Huck that someone has given him lunch and that Huck is happy to have it.
