The Governess returns to the Governess's room to find that the water in the room is boiling. She asks to be left alone, but the water will soon boil, so she must return to her room. She is surprised to see that the mirror is in the master bedroom, and she is happy that it is there. She also notices that her presence in the house will grow with time.
