The narrator tells us that he's not sure whether or not he'll be able to convince Hiroshi to stay with him. He's also not sure if Hiroshi will love him enough to keep him around. The narrator says that he doesn't understand why Hiroshi would think he would cheat on his future wife. He says that the image of Tokyo in his mind would never get blurry. He apologizes for not telling Hiroshi sooner, but Hiroshi is still convinced that he and Tokyo will be together.
