This chapter opens with a soliloquy by Hirokazu, in which he tells us that he is in love with his employer. He says that having someone around him makes him feel secure, and that this is why he loves his employer so much. He also says that it is his job to make sure that the other men in his company are satisfied with their work. He tells his employer that he wants him to join his company, and he says that he will do so if he can.
