He wants to go to the other room where he hid his clothes, but he'd forgotten to put them away. He apologizes, and asks if they can have some coffee. He says that his ship has just landed, and he wants to know if they're okay with coffee. The man says yes, and then he asks about the ship's cargo. He doesn't want to get into a fight with the man because he wants him to tell him the truth, but then he realizes that he had a good time on their date, and that he feels like he would never be in a serious relationship with a "non-committal" man.
