Dr. Manette tells her lover that he can't go out with her because she's already in love with another man. He tells her that he's not interested in her like that, and that she should have sex with someone else. Dr. Womanette tells him that she has sex with her lover every time they make love, but she doesn't want to go back to her old life on the island because she wants to grow old with him. She tells him to go home and get married, but he says that's impossible because he'll never be able to imagine living anywhere but on this island. She asks him what he wants to do now.
