The narrator returns to the scene of the previous night's sexual encounter. He apologizes to izumi for his behavior. He says that he is the same person as he was the night before, and that izumi has failed to make him happy. He goes on to say that he will go back to his parents' house and look for another job. He feels that he has been honest with himself about his relationship with izumi, and wishes that he could have been with her.
