The Flying Serpent tells the girl that he has protected the Host from the evil flying serpent. The girl is shocked and says that she will never take the Host's body again. The flying serpent says that he will lead the girl to retrieve the poison dragon pond. He tells her that the pond is located on the western edge of the valley and that the Host will be killed if he does not help him. He says that after one hundred years, he will join the Host again.
