In this chapter, we learn that the turbo chamber is a dangerous place to be because of the number of zombies outside. The two men try to figure out a way to get out of the building, but the noise they hear is too loud for them to do so. They try to find a shortcut, but it will take them a long time to get through the door. They have a special device that they can use to crack the passwords of other people in the building. When they get to the door, they find that they have to enter through a series of tunnels. The engineer explains that his colleagues have reset the passwords into a complicated one, which means that no one is inside the building thus no zombies can be found. He also explains that he brought with him a special piece of equipment called a "micro-password cracker" that will allow them to enter the building in a matter of minutes. He then calls on the two men, telling them that they just ran into a group of zombies and that they were able to deal with them. He tells them to keep an eye out for the noise, as it might not be an ordinary zombie but a "mutant" one.
