The chapter opens with a warning to the protagonist not to cross the blockade. The protagonist tries to pull himself together, but the warning is too strong. He decides to search the warehouse for something useful, but he doesn't find it. He goes to the rendezvous point and meets up with a carl, but they still have to stay alert. They hear a pipe-wielding zombie, and the protagonist thinks it's the chief of baima Co., a baima company from east-city. The chief is moraella from the southern region, a biological researcher from the south, and a computer scientist from the sophtech region. They decide to head to the central command center to shut the blockade program down. They don't know how to do this, because the entire base has been blockaded. They can't even use a knife to cut through the blockade, because of the chemical mask. They have to use a gun to get through. The gunshots are attracting more and more zombies, so the protagonist has to figure out a way out.
