The scene opens with a sigh from the part-timer. He tells us that he came in late to clean up his room. He's not feeling well, and he's tired too. He says he'll clean up the room himself, and they'll eat together after they're done. He buys her her favorite ice cream, soondae, and tells her to get away from him. He asks her why she's behaving this way, and she tells him that it's because she wants to talk to him instead. She says she could ask him the same way, but he'd sniffle swollen and there's nothing else she can do. She tells him to hold this over his swollen hand until he goes to the hospital the next day, and then she says she'll buy him some of the things he needs. She asks him if he has a shift tomorrow, and when he says yes, she says he can have it.
