About This Chapter
The narrator is shocked to find that the manager is ignoring him. He realizes that the customer is trying to physically threaten him, but he is comforted by the fact that he has to go to school. He tells the manager to shift his shift to the day, and he feels that he is a good person for doing so. He also feels that if the customer returns, he will be able to check on the other parttimer. He says that he will beat up the old fart if he sees him again. The narrator feels secure that he was not overreacting in the confrontation with the drunk customer. He wonders how his parents raised him, and wonders how he treats his elders. He asks the manager if he can pass by and see what is going on, and she tells him to go away. He goes to buy some food, and when he finds out what he has written in his notebook, he is upset that it is his fault for telling the manager about the confrontation. He decides to take charge of the shift, and says that if it werent for Bomi, he would be dead meat
