In this short scene, Yonhap introduces us to the young protagonist, who has just returned from his first trip to the amusement park with his friends. Yonhap tells us that he and his friends have decided to go to the cafe instead of going to the festival. He asks his friends if they would like to go for a walk together, and they all agree that they would. He then asks Yonhap what he is feeling, and Yonhap answers that he is very upset. He tells Yonhap that a year ago, he was very much in love with Yonhap, and that he had planned to visit the festival that day, but he didn't because he thought it would not be like this. He says that Yonhap is a good kid, too, and he is grateful for Yonhap's feelings for him. He also says that he has decided to stop tutoring after Yonhap confessed his love for her, and she says that she is grateful to him for his feelings. She tells him that after her husband's sudden death, she had been very sensitive to him, because he had been relying on Yonhap mentally since he was a child. She says that her only guardian, her grandmother, had also died, and so Yonhap has no parents, and no guardians. She asks him why he keeps avoiding and denying her feelings, and why he does not tell her why he doesn't like her.
