In this short scene, Desdemona tells her lover that he has booked a room for her under his name at the inn where she is staying. She tells him that it is too late to go back to sleep, and that she will go to bed with her maid, xiaxia. He tells her that he is her boyfriend, and she agrees to go to sleep with him. He asks her to get rid of her "dirty thoughts," and she promises to do so.
