When the narrator is ten years old, he and his older brother, do-jun, live next door to each other. Do-jun has always wanted a younger brother, and his mother, hyung, is so cute that she's going to give him all of her toys. Kim, the narrator's father, is very kind to both of them, and Kim promises to take care of the younger brother. Kim tells the narrator that he's a generous person, and that she shouldn't be hard on her mother. Kim says that she can find other children who can do just as well as she can, but she'll have to release the photos of her and her brother if they're leaked. The narrator is furious that Kim went so hard to make her dream of becoming an actress come true. She says that Kim told her to do what she had to do to become an actress and find her family after she became the top actress. She's shocked that Kim would put her with a sponsor, and she says that having a sponsor isn't a bad thing, but Kim should have protected the spot from all the other kids who want to have it. Kim is furious, and says she won't allow Kim to do anything her way anymore. She promises to leave Kim one day, and the narrator says that even though Kim is an actress, she still has to control her emotions because she is still a kid.
