We learn that Caixian is in love with a woman named Lu nanyin, and that he is willing to marry her if she will let him have his son. Caixin, however, is not interested in marrying her, and he refuses to come back to the house. The butler asks her to leave, but she refuses, saying that she is not welcome at the house and that she will not be allowed to marry Caixin's son. She tells the butler that Caixin promised her that her son would be his heir, and the butler tells her that the family will not let Caixin inherit because Caixin has a crush on another woman. She asks the butler to ask her out of the house, but the butler refuses to do so, and Caixin tells her to go away. He then tells Caixin that he will not marry her because she is the third wheel in his marriage, and she will never be able to marry him again. She says that she loves Caixin so much that she cannot control herself.
