In this chapter, we learn that the doctor, Hu Jintao, has fallen in love with Guizhou's former wife, Lingzi, and that Guizhou is now the father of Guizhou. The doctor tells Guizhou that he has found a way to use his newfound knowledge of the human body to cure his former wife's disease. He also tells her that he plans to use this knowledge to cure Guizhou of his own disease.
